Phx District 3 Runoff VS Crazy
If you are in Phoenix City Council District 3, registered for early voting, and check your mail — You should have an early voting ballot for the March 9th Runoff Election.
I know, like didn’t we just do election stuff? Don’t worry, if you look at the ballot, it’s one question: COUNCIL MEMBER DISTRICT 3
Fill in a bubble, stuff it in the other envelope (included), sign the back of the envelope, and mail that thing back.
The runoff is for the City Council seat currently held by Debra Stark, an independent who’s been serving in that position since 2016. Nicole Garcia is running against Stark for the seat.
I’m not saying to vote for Debra Stark.
But I’m voting for Debra Stark. In the past 4 years, she’s not burned down district 3. Honestly, I think the most controversial thing about her time in office is being in favor of red-light cameras. She’s not making waves; she’s serving the community diligently without drawing controversy. In my opinion, that’s what I expect from a city council member.
What I am saying is that a vote for Nicole Garcia is giving voice to far-right conspiracy theorists, QAnon, and those who supported the violent insurrection on January 6th.
Her Twitter account has since been deleted. There are more Tweets like this, AZCentral archived them.
